Star Player Named Gators Captain

Former BEST Blazers player and Assistant Coach Zach M has been named Captain of the Greenbank Gators.

Gators Coach and BBL Treasurer Lachlan McLean will be bringing the returning team back to the league in term 4, 2025.

“I’m looking forward to a great season and want to congratulate Zach once again on making Captain for the Gators”, Mr McLean said.

An insider close to the Gators Coach says there was some uncertainty leading up to the announcement. 

“McLean wouldn’t confirm who he was making Captain internally - which of course creates tension in a team that is yet to debut - pitting players against one another is not a great start”, the anonymous source said. 

The source refused to name the other players up for the role but new Captain Zach has responded positively to the news. 

“I’m really excited, yeah, I’m very happy”, Mr M said.
