Off the Clock
NDIS-Funded After school Support
This exciting new pilot program provides after school supports to students with intellectual disabilities in grades 8-12
How It Works
One of our Mentors will collect students from school at the end of the school day, and bring them back to the BEST Disability Support Slacks Creek campus for FREE afternoon tea
Students will spend the afternoon engaging in their chosen activities from our Create & Unwind, Gaming & Tech, and Sports & Fitness categories, while socialising with their peers in a 1:2 group support setting
One of our Mentors will then provide transport to take students back home at 6pm
To Be Eligible for OTC, the student must:
Attend Beenleigh Special School OR Logan City Special School OR be referred by an existing Off the Clock Member
Have Core Funding available in their NDIS plan
Not exhibit violent, absconding, or sexualised behaviours
Be enrolled in grade 8-12
